Picked up the car and on my way to Darwin.  Managed to make my way our of Alice Springs, do not think I will have any problem with driving over here. In my hurry to get the car and posting parcels I did not get any photos of Alice Springs.

The drive from Alice Springs to Wycliff Wells  is about 500 KM. The landscape is mainly that of rock outcroppings, scrub and grasslands.
Stopped at Ti Tree roadhouse for lunch, the owner seems a bit surely and they were not at all fine with making me a sandwich when I asked to have one made fresh and without butter but did get it. What I did find appalling was that they were charging the aboriginal people twice the going rate for a can of beer, apparently this is illegal but the do not seen to care.  Not only does this total disregard add to the problem of alcoholism but it is ripping these peoples off.
Wycliff Wells is the UFO area of Australia or at least that is what they would like you to believe , at least it does draw the tourists.
