Leaving Katherine and on to Kakadu National Park. stopped at Edith
Falls which is a short , slightly steep 2Km walk from the car park.
There is also a 7Km circuit that you can walk that takes you to several
pools in which you can swim but I have just done the short walk then it
is on to Pine Creek and the Kakadu Highway, have to try and be at Yellow
Water by 1:30 PM to take the cruise if not will have to wait until
4:30PM and then stay overnight, did not make it and had to stay
overnight at the Gagudju Lodge Cooinda - very overpriced for what you
get and the restaurant is also overpriced even if the food is good. At $
245 as night one would expect much more that a 3 start hotel and this
is a stretch.
The nature walk are closed due to water, the wet season was late and so some areas have not dried up yet. I have taken the sun set cruise on Yellow Water, cost $85 for a 2 hour cruise which is well worth the cost.
