Sunday 5th. February 2012.
Although there is flooding in Queensland there is not problems here, today went to a country market then on to  the Australian rare fruits meeting with my cousins. A very interesting afternoon, not only did I learn about the rare fruits but as I was a visitor and did not know any of the growers was asked to judge the best tasting fruit, most interesting fruit and the home baking.
I now know what Jack fruit, dragon fruit (Pitaya), passion fruit, carambolla, Abiu, Logan,Inga bean (ice cream bean) Carrot bush, Sapadilla, pomegranate, ozo, sweet limes, miracle fruit, Mamey Sapote, Saba nuts, mango, and pineapple mango are. Had a wonderful afternoon, very friendly welcoming people.

Taken my duties as a judge very seriously

Hot to day, went for a two mile walk in the morning, but just too hot this afternoon. 35to 36C today, just spending the rest of the day relaxing - far too hot to do much.
