The cost of the pass was $990.00 and had I not had the pass the cost of the trips I have booked Brisbane to Mackay, MacKay to Cairns return, MacKay to Brisbane and on to Sydney would have cost $1068.15 and I have just started my Australian travels. Train travel is great, but can not just get off and take photos when you want, but you see the country and you can enjoy the travel, do not have to drive.
