The Jasmine Lodge is very nice, $7:50 a night and this includes breakfast. Room is very clean an the staff friendly. We have rented bikes to travel around the city, traffic is not very busy and the streets are wider the some. We are close to the Palace, formal gardens, old marker and Pub street where all the restaurants are. So spent the morning and early afternoon just biking around looking at the markets, the temples and the city. Because yesterday it was really hot on the bus and the air conditioning was poor I have a bit of heat stroke so spent the later part of the afternoon inside. At 4:30 we biked to the old market to Pub Street to take a cooking lesson ( forgot my camera) at Le Tigre De Papier.
Cooking one starter, one main and dessert. Have chosen to do fresh Spring rolls with chicken, Chicken with ginger and for dessert tapioca with banana. First to the market to see what foods are needed and what we can use if not available in Canada, then back to the kitchen to prep and prepare, and after two hours we are able to eat our meal. Was great fun and delicious. Cost $11.00 . Then on the bikes and road through the night traffic back to the Lodge.
| just a few photos from the area around where we are staying |
