Train to Mildura - Sydney to Cootamundra by train and then a two hour wait for the bus to Mildura. Left Sydney at 7:30 Am arrived in Mildura at 11:15 PM. Was an interesting day of travel. Met by relatives.
Mildura is a farming community - with grape production for table grapes, dried fruit and wine. Also wheat production and general farming. The total population is about 60,000 including the surrounding area. I stayed in Red Cliffs so named because of the red cliffs along the Murray River.
May 3,4,5,6, - spent time just looking about Mildura - visiting relatives -toured Wentworth and the area surrounding Mildura, went to a tractor museum.
May 7, 2012 - flight to Melbourne and visiting relatives.
