Clearly one must read the fine print
when you book online and also it you book a hotel and pay ahead in
Australia. Read the cancellation policy – bookings cannot be
amended or refunded. You will find that if you want to change the
date of the paid reservation that you will be out of pocket for the
full amount as the will not change the dates. Also changing flight
that are booked online one must call the company from whom you booked
the flight to change it, calling the airline directly will get you no
where. So you may save a bit by booking with an online company like
Cheap tickets but if you think that you might have to change your
flight date it may be a lot better to book directly with the airline
company. Will have to lookup the definition of reservation and see
if it applies to pre-paid accommodations .
The hotel in Bangkok has an interesting
policy – 24 hr flex rate- if you book in at 6.PM the room is yours
for 24 hours, making it great if you have a flight the next day in
the afternoon or early evening. This way you do not have to book out
hours prior to your onward flight.
